Why rebuild Magnolia Avenue UMC?

Magnolia Ave UMC was once a thriving local church in East Knoxville. Today its pews are empty and its organ silent. But it’s God given calling to be a vibrant local church that disciples and shepherds children, students and families, and ministers to the less fortunate is as fresh today as it was when its cornerstone was laid almost a century ago.

Today, prayers, planning, and perspiration are taking place to rebuild and restore Magnolia Ave UMC’s building and ministry to life and vibrancy.

Would you be willing to partner with us to answer the call to rebuild and restore Magnolia Ave UMC? Teams are needed to help with flooring, drywall, painting and ceilings on our second and third floors later this fall. Prayers are needed so that every decision we make helps to rebuild and restore Magnolia Ave UMC to a healthy local church that is spreading the gospel and making disciples in East Knoxville daily.

The need of East Knoxville for strong local churches is undeniable. We believe that a restored Magnolia Ave UMC can help meet that need and return once again to being a thriving local church.
